Petyo84 Posted June 2, Posted June 2, Viper16 Posted June 2, Reduce the default value of down to something more reasonable, such as Download PicoTorrent. Reduce the overall default of to a lower number. Download Transmission. Although Deluge is a popular cross platform torrent client, the Windows version is currently behind the other platforms because of some programming limitations.

The connection limit options are the same on all versions though. Select the Bandwidth category down the left side. The overall maximum number of connections is the first option at the top and is set to by default. This will slow down the speed Deluge is trying to connect to other peers and might help stop your connection from being overloaded. Download Deluge. I do other way easy and you can use full internet to download automatically when you not use browsing i will upload the picture of my way if any one need it.

God, what an easy solution. You ROCK! Example 2. Its just around kb. I go to my network setting click on my connected wifi and click Diagnose — It will reset adapter and the wifi will start working again.

But if my torrent is still on it will again stop working in mins. I had same problem internet disconnects while torrenting. After lot of elimination tests i found that disconnection was only happening when I was torrenting and particularly torrenting through transmission client on my Centos machine. When I do torrenting on my uTorrent client on Windows it never dropped and infact it worked noticeably faster than Transmission client.

The fix mentioned in this makes sense and that may resolves lot of such issues for people but I would like to point out here that the problem only started with my new ISP, with new NTU and new router — such disconnection never happened on my old slower ADSL line using the same setup. Thank you — brilliant tip, sorted the problem for me. This issue has bothered me and my family for over a year.

I started with , then 50 and now 20 and again it stopped working after a couple minutes… Should i keep lowering the value? PS: Interestingly enough, i had to disable my utorrent in order to post this simple message! Your solution worked for me just fine! I appreciate you and the wonderful work you do very much indeed! Happy New Year! I am so extremely grateful for you sir.

You are an inspiration to my soul. Like so many others above me who have commented on their gratitude toward you, I too want to tell you something… You are the breath in my lungs, the sun which so gently shines through my window on a spring morning, if you were a lady, i would make my self known to you and marry your sweet soul. I love you. I thank God, our heavenly father for creating you. You are my life. Now it seems to get disconnected within a short time when running uTorrent.

I have to do a Disable and Enable of the network device in Vista to get it up, albeit for a while until it gets disconnected.

Many thanks to you for finding a solution for this issue. I have spent countless days online trying to find the fix. You are the man. Do you use an SSHD by any chance? I can scratch that as a potential cause for the issue. I really need to fix this, it's incredibly annoying. I'll run a few other tests and check a few things and report back to you. I'm fairly certain it's a steam specific issue, since large downloads on other clients origin, uplay, browser etc run without any issues.

Last edited by BlueBanana ; 16 Mar, am. So I just downloaded 24GB without any issues. So I added the steam folder to the exceptions.

It's probably wise not to add the whole steam folder, but it will do for testing purpososes. I can't tell for sure if that solved the issue completely - but it looks promising. Hi, thanks for your responses! I tried your suggestion, but I still got a crash while downloading DOOM : After spending a lot of time with the Steam support I kinda came to the conclusion that it's my hardware, that somehow Steam downloads access the hardware differently than Uplay or Origin, so it causes my faulty hardware to crash.

I have no proof of this, and I'm tired of trying out stuff now. Guess I'll have to invest into some new hardware at some point. Before investing in any new hardware I suggest to run a few diagnosis tools. The most likely defective hardware that could cause this, would be a faulty harddrive. Use seatools Link [www.

It takes a long time, let it run over night or so. I'm still using max write cache 1. I don't seem to have any reason to lower it. It would be nice to know if there's anything you can do by changing the code of uTorrent to make all this work better, because what I've Googled and heard, nobody is having this problem with many other torrent clients on Windows.

I have to mention, that running uTorrent as Admin needs my browser to run as Admin too, for the links to work properly. If I don't run my browser as Admin, clicking an torrent-link doesn't open uTorrent at all. And opening browser as Admin causes that my email-softwares links doesn't work and my mouse's special features doesn't work with that browser..

Hi, having the same problem since last week, als keeping my cache high dude to known Disk Cache Overloaded issue. No raid, just single HDD. My question is - is fast allocation activated by default by running UT as admin? Or do I have to activate is somewhere is Advanced settings? My download speeds are at I found an workaround : do not click OK on the alert window - If you click "ok" it crashes, if not the download is working properly.

I'm thinking of uninstalling utorrent. For some reason i dont get the part with "Windows ran out of memory". You mention you have upgraded your Windows from 7 to 8. About the issue - I did manage to fix it by installing an old 64bit version of utorrent 64 bits are critical. I can't seem to find a new 64bit version though, and it always autofucking updates to the new fugly cluttered interface. I wish I could hexedit the autoupdate by brute force Start new topic.

Recommended Posts. Posted March 14, I've tried to find specific answer to my problem but cannot find one, so here I am, asking for your help oh mighty helpers When I'm starting a new download approx.

If the downloadable files are small, such as 1GB, there's no problems. My current disk cache -settings from uTorrent are as an attachment. Got a new error - "Windows ran out of memory Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I'll gladly answer any further questions. Thank you in advance!
 More sharing options DreadWingKnight Posted March 14, Reset your settings and do NOT try to use mbyte disk cache overrides.

Firon Posted March 14, Re-enable the windows system cache and uncheck "write out untouched blocks every 2 minutes".
